Dive or snorkel two separate locations on our beautiful coral reefs. Our boat departs the dock twice daily. Each trip is about four hours long.

*All minors must have waivers filled out by their parent or legal guardian. If parents will not be present, please make sure to have waivers filled out ahead of time. Friends and family cannot legally sign these waivers.

Come join us diving or snorkeling on some of the most beautiful reefs located within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park.  We have many different reefs to explore, Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US.

 

Requirements:   

Diving must have an Open Water Certification

If it has been more than 12 months since your last dive a dive guide is required at an additional cost. If longer than 24 months since your last dive, a Refresher Course is required.

Snorkeling – must be able to swim.

 

Snorkelers and Boat Riders
YOU can join the fun, too! Join your friends, family, or buddy on this trip. Enjoy the sun deck or jump in the refreshing water to snorkel and discover what’s below the surface! . Our reefs are about 20 to 35 feet deep with high profile coral.  You can be anywhere from 5 to 15 feet from the coral.

Deep Wreck and Reef Trip

Enjoy the best of both worlds— a 2-tank trip that includes both a Wreck and Reef Dive!

Key Largo is known as the ‘The Dive Capital of the World’ and we can’t wait to show you why! First, you’ll dive one of the most famous wrecks in the Florida Keys which most often include the Spiegel Grove or USCG Duane.  Your second dive will be on one of our exquisite reefs located in beautiful Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary or John Pennekamp State Park. Whether you are new to the Florida Keys or a long-time dive veteran, this is a MUST dive to log during time in Key Largo.

YOU can join the fun, too! Join your friends, family, or buddy on this trip! Enjoy the sun deck good or jump in the refreshing water to snorkel and discover what’s below the surface! These ‘Snorkeler – Riders’ will be able to snorkel the second of two sites visited on this trip. These spots may be a little deeper than our snorkel-only for our reef dive and snorkel trips. If you need snorkel gear, be sure to add it to your order.

Pirates Cove Watersports is lucky to have a huge variety of diving on sites that are a short boat ride away. Our reef dives are mostly within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary or Pennekamp State Park which are protected areas that offer opportunity for encounters with turtles, southern stingrays, goliath groupers, and more. It’s the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the only living coral reef in the US! If you have your advanced certification, you can also experience our world famous wreck dives like the USCG Duane and Spiegel Grove.

We offer daily wreck and reef trips 365 days a year! A short 35 minute boat ride will put you on our most popular sites located on Molasses Reef with the longer dive site travel taking up to 55 minutes.

Snorkel and Dive Locations in the FKNMS

Pirates Cove Watersports holds your reservation with a credit card. By accepting this order and providing a credit card number, the customer agrees to allow Pirates Cove Watersports to charge the remaining amount due on this reservation to the payment card on file at the start time of your activity subject to the terms and conditions of banks and credit card providers and the terms of service herein.

Customers who do not show up for the scheduled activity and do not call to cancel or reschedule outside of 24 hours will be subject to paying a late cancellation/no-show fee. Customers completing a scuba instruction course, must call to cancel or reschedule the course 7 days before the scuba instruction. Pirates Cove Watersports has the right to charge the full value of the reservation if cancelled within the cancellation policy. The boat does not wait for late arrivals. Please call 305-453-9881 if your plans change for any reason and we will be happy to assist. 

Pirates Cove Watersports requires all participants (including minors) to complete and sign a liability waiver prior to any training programs, boat trips, or water activity rental. 

Participants not diving under the direct supervision of an instructor are required to present a valid Picture ID Card from a recognized SCUBA training agency at the level required by Pirates Cove Watersports for the specific activity. Be sure to bring all valid Certification Cards on the day of your activity. Customers who are unable to prove proper level of certification will not be allowed to participate in activities. If longer than 24 months since your last dive, a Refresher Course is required. If longer than 12 months since your last dive, a hired guide is required.

 

Pirates Cove Watersports cannot guarantee dive/snorkel site locations. We do not refund due to seasickness.
